Organised as a programmed event for the first time in Türkiye through a collaboration between Elipsis Gallery and Geniş Açı Project Office, 'Portfolio Reviews' brought photographers at different stages of their practice together with reviewers including photography editors, artists, gallery directors, and writers on photography. Sixteen participants met individually with three reviewers for 20-minute sessions, according to their stated preferences, sharing their work and receiving feedback, and finding an opportunity to develop both their practices and their work in light of the comments and assessments they received.

Portfolio review events of this kind have become an increasingly common and complementary element of photography festivals around the world, particularly in recent years. On the one hand, portfolio reviews offer photographers opportunities to make new connections and develop their practices; on the other, they give professionals working in the field a chance to discover new photographers.
